Ancelotti wants to re-unite with Chelsea left-back Cole at PSG

Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring Chelsea left back Ashley Cole to Paris Saint-German.

 Cole, widely regarded as the finest in the world in his position, has become a target for the French moneybags as he is yet to be offered a new deal.

 The 31-year-old recently pledged his commitment to the Blues' cause on Twitter, saying 'until Chelsea don't want me I'm #cfc4life', but he only has one year left on his contract.

 European champions Chelsea let Jose Bosingwa, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou all leave on free transfers - and although Cole is a different proposition - Our sources report the same could happen.

 PSG have splashed the cash this season, picking up Zlatan Ibrahomovic, Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi, so if Cole does join he will be in good company.

Man United Linked With Shock Move to Sign Chelsea Full Back Ashley Cole

Talks have yet to begin over a new contract at Chelsea and that puts Cole in a very strong position.

 The 31-year-old may be getting on but he is still the best left-back in the Premier League and arguably Europe.

 He often gets praise for his attacking skills but his defensive attributes have come to the fore in a Chelsea side that was often stretched this year and his displays for England were close on impeccable.

 All the world’s top clubs will be interested to see what develops.

 Manchester United are desperate for a left-back while Manchester City, Real Madrid and both Milan clubs would be also. He could attract offers now or sit tight until next summer and leave on a free and take a lucrative pay-off to his career.

 it’s true that as yet the 31 year old is still to put pen to paper on a new contract it seems more likely that a move abroad could be on the cards if the England man decides to quit Stamford Bridge.

 Perhaps the link exists purely because a number of left-backs have been speculated as being Sir Alex Ferguson targets to replace Partrice Evra either in short or long term. 

The French international, though still consistent, is perhaps not the player he was 18 months ago, hence Everton’s Leighton Baines being a known Man United target but clearly given that Cole is indeed older than the Old Trafford star.

 Ashley Cole is also a player that Roman Abramovich and Chelsea Football Club would not want to lose and an offer will surely be made for the defender who has spent six successful seasons at the West London club, making 250 appearances in the process and securing every trophy possible in that period.

 A move to Man United is just not a possibility and the same can be said for Man City but perhaps a move to Spain or Italy are plausible come next summer if Cole still hasn’t signed a new deal.

Cole could quit Chelsea

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole could be set for a sensational departure from Stamford Bridge, as we can reveal that there are no talks at present to renew a contract that has just one year to run.

 Cole, who is just two England games away from 100 caps, has one season left on his current deal in west London and is seemingly happy to run down his contract and become a free agent next summer.

 Considering the enormous controversy surrounding Chelsea's recruitment of Cole from Arsenal and the lengths the club went to in order to secure his services, it would be a major shock if the player, so synonymous with the Blues' recent success, could be walking away on a free.

 Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and wealthy clubs from China and the Middle East will be queuing up to recruit Cole on what could be phenomenal wages given there will be no transfer fee.

 "Ashley is relaxed about his future, and will look at all the options when his contract expires," a source told us.

 "He could go abroad, and there will not be any shortage of offers, but equally he could stay in the Premier League. He might be 31 but he is super fit and he is still recognised as the best left-back in the world.

 "He has broken so many records and is still breaking them with club and country and there is sure to be huge demand for him.

 As it stands there have been discussions about renewing his contract, but there are no negotiations as it stands.

 Chelsea are believed to be keen to keep Cole and extend his contract, although the emergence of England Under-21 defender Ryan Bertrand may prompt him to seek a new challenge elsewhere.
