Man City Plot Move to Swap Bayern Munich Youngster for Edin Dzeko

Manchester City will look to swap Bosnian international striker Edin Dzeko for young Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller.

Roberto Mancini has more striking options than he knows what to do with, so much so that which ever way you cut it the Man City boss has four strikers at his disposal that cost the big spending club a total of over £100m and therefore can afford to lose the big forward in his pursuit of German international Muller.

Even though Dzeko struggled to garner a regular first team spot last term the 26 year old still managed 13 goals in 14 Premier League starts but may well be interested in a return to the Bundesliga, where he proved a massive hit with Wolfsburg.

22 year old Muller can play in an orthodox striking role but is also effective in a wide role and it’s perhaps in that role that Mancini is interested in playing the lanky youngster. It may prove tough to persuade Jupp Heynckes to accept this offer though he could perhaps do with another effective striking option as currently a lot of the Bavarian club’s goal-scoring burden is carried by Mario Gomez.
