Despite the fact that Manchester United have lost the bidding war with Paris Saint-Germain for Lucas Moura and may not meet the asking price of Robin van Persie; the club is set to become the world’s most valuable sports team with a worth of around $3bn.
The data compiled by the financial media group Bloomberg and Forbes claims that the valuation could be twice the value of La Liga Champions Real Madrid once debts are factored in.
The Red Devils are burdened by gargantuan debts while the Glazer family hope to raise up to $332m by selling 16.6m shares, where per share can cost up to $16-$20.
The Glazers previously promised to use up the money to clear all the debts, but now it is revealed that half of the money will go down in clearing the debts which is around £437m while the rest would go to the Glazers.
