According to reports in Italy and Spain Manchester United have come to an agreement with Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski who is set to join the red devils for the 2013/2014 season.
Lewandowski has been linked with a whole host of top European clubs this summer with Chelsea, Man Utd and Juventus reported to be the front runners, in fact it had been reported that Juventus had turned their attention to the Polish international as an alternative to Arsenal’s Robin van Persie and that Chelsea had in fact made an official approach, now however it does appear that the 23 year old is destined for Old Trafford.
Lewandowski contract with the German champions runs out in the summer of 2014 and so it makes sense for them to hang on to one of their best players for another season and secure a deal whereby they maximise his value at a point when he has just one year left on his contract, by agreeing a deal with Man Utd now they achieve that specific aim.
The Polish hit man has played an integral part in Dortmunds rise to the pinnacle of German football and has become much sought after, it now appears that it is Man Utd that have finally won the battle to sign one of Europe’s finest young attackers
